I made really delicious buttered noodles with Parmesan for dinner last night. Buttered noodles is such a comfort food. It’s my go-to order at Noodles and Company, even as an adult, just buttered noodles with chicken and broccoli. There was a point in my childhood where that was my favorite restaurant to go to. For a couple of years it was my birthday dinner. We’d get buttered noodles and fountain drinks, and mix all the different sodas. In college I’d go to the Noodles and Co in Dinkytown when I was feeling especially sad. Last night was about making comfort food, but also about doing something fun. I googled for a recipe, not because I need a recipe, but because I thought I might try to replicate the restaurant version precisely. Instead I found this recipe for garlicky brown butter noodles. I didn’t measure anything at all, but I cooked garlic in brown butter and then added my noodles, and it was so good. I also had some burnt (on purpose) broccoli, and some chicken cooked up with some spices. It was total comfort food, but also good and exciting, and just one of the best tasting things I’ve made in ages. I cannot recommend trying this highly enough. Buttered noodles are just an ultimate food.

WHAT I WATCHED YESTERDAY
This video made me think I want to braise cabbage. Why? I don’t even like cabbage. Mostly I’m excited about the idea of burning cabbage.
Noodle recipe...Mmmmm!!!
