I made the trendy feta and little tomatoes pasta dish, and it was absolutely delicious. I wasn’t paying close attention to the recipe so I did boil a whole pound of pasta, but the sauce to noodle ratio was still acceptable, and this just means we have more leftovers. I’m definitely going to make this again, it feels very accomplished but really requires very little effort. The biggest annoyance is waiting while it hangs out in the oven. Very happy to have a fun to recipe in my rotation, especially as we get towards summer and the season of buying beautiful fresh multicolored tomatoes from farmer’s markets.

WHAT I WATCHED YESTERDAY
Last night George Lucas Talk Show did an “Oops all Bumpers” episode, and it was a total blast. Bumpers are the little interstitial clips they play to introduce segments. The show has a deep history of demanding specific bumpers from the bumper factory, coming up with bumpers in the middle of the show, and occasionally shooting bumpers as an episode happens. Last night was a bumper palooza, without normal guests, instead bringing back friends of the show who have had fun with bumpers again. It was so good. I laughed so much. The night ended with Rich Sommer eating a whole habanero pepper for the first time. I laughed so hard it was physically painful. I love this show so much.
SONG OF THE DAY
I walked to Aldi today, and it’s right across the street from the old Treehouse records, which has just stood empty for years now with a giant Wellstone sign in the window. It’s so sad to look at, but also I hate the idea of it changing. Eventually they’ll put something new in there, and maybe that will be cool, but right now it functions as a kind of monument to a lost version of Minneapolis and I’m not ready to lose that.
Pasta recipe....mmmmMMM!!!
