Today, after a week and a half of mess, I picked all my art supplies off the floor and ran the vacuum. It looks so nice, and I feel so good. This will last less than twenty four hours before I decide I need to make an art project in the middle of the living room floor. Housekeeping is a sisyphean task at the best of times, but I think you feel it more now that you never leave your house. You are constantly making this place messy by living in it, constantly creating chores that will make it a better place to live in. The five minutes a day where there aren’t any dirty dishes are sacred. We should cherish them, and eat ice cream straight out of the carton to save ourselves from having to wash one more bowl.
WHAT I WATCHED YESTERDAY
I finally watched The Lighthouse, which I knew I would love, and am now even more sad that I didn’t see in theaters. It’s just so good. It’s so funny, and so creepy, and so great looking. I love Robert Pattinson so much, especially when he gets to be real weird. (If he doesn’t get to be real weird as Batman it’ll be heartbreaking.) Willem Dafoe is great, everything is great, I love it.
PICTURE OF MY CAT
I love his long weird body and his curly little tail!
SONG OF THE DAY
Gus and I made homemade granola, and were trying to have a conversation about where we put the coconut chips, but couldn’t remember the word “coconut chips,” so really the conversation was mostly throwing “ckh” sounds at each other, and then I started singing this song, which is perfect. Ccccccumber. Cccccccabage! Ccccccauliflower! Men on Mars! April showers!
“Sisyphean“- new word to me! Applies to a lot of things in my life! My favorite sentence was this one: “We should cherish them, and eat ice cream straight out of the carton to save ourselves from having to wash one more bowl.” So true!
i have NO MEMORY of this song but it sounds great and i believe u
