Bad case of the Sunday Scaries today. I don’t know where this expression comes from, I picked it up from twitter pals, but it’s a useful way to describe the dread that comes from one week ending an another beginning. I slept very bad on Friday night, and then spent my whole weekend getting by. I went on a nice walk yesterday, and a very nice walk today, and have mostly managed to feed myself. But I also skipped out on two meetings, one parade, and an errand that I had hoped to get out of the way. Also, almost, this newsletter, which I really had meant to put out on Friday, but then I forgot or something? I don’t know. Friday is far in the past. I’m already all about next Friday, and Gus’s plans for gardening, and my plans for watching Rally Portugal, and whether I will have managed to get the errand done I wanted to get done this weekend before then, or if I should pencil it in for after my weekly work meeting. (Here is how you get me to not skip a meeting: pay me.) What can we expect from the weather next weekend? Or the one after that? The Thursday after next I have to be on campus at eight in the morning, but they’re paying me. I would like to not catch the bus in the rain. And that Saturday I have big plans for the Seward garage sale. There are too many things on my calendar already.
